The Annual Calendar

Deluxe Event Calendar 2016 Excel Template - Annual Tab

This tab gives you an overview of all of your dates in the year.

dec-annual-datesToday’s date will be highlighted in grey.

dec-annual-holidaysOn the right-hand side you will see a column with the major U.S. holidays. You can type over these with different holidays if you’d like.

dec-annual-notesBelow the holidays column, there is a section for you to enter any notes for the year.

dec-annual-colortagsNext to the holidays column, you’ll see a box called Color Tags. This is your color coding key to help you visually organize your events. Use these event types, or type over them with your own. You can also change your colors by changing the background colors (click here to learn how to do this).

Doubleclick on a date in the Annual Calendar to jump to the Monthly Calendar.

The Monthly Calendar

Entering Events

dec-monthly-spaceTo enter an event, click on one of the event spaces (next to the date number), and simply type in your event. Press “enter” or click off of the cell when you’re done typing.

Color Tagging

dec-colortagmenuTo color code an event, right-click on the event to reveal a long menu. Note: if you don’t see this menu, you are probably still in “type” mode. Get off of type mode by pressing “enter,” then try right-clicking again.

Mouseover the “Color Tags” option towards the bottom of the menu, and then select you event type. Your event will now be color coded.

Deleting Events

dec-deletemenuTo delete an event, right-click on the event to reveal a long menu. Then select the “Delete Event” option towards the bottom. Your event will now be cleared.

Going back to the Annual Calendar

dec-monthly-titleTo go back to the Annual Calendar, doubleclick on the month title.

The Deluxe Event Calendar is already formatted to print! Each tab is designed to fit on 8.5 x 11 inch letter-size paper.
