If you recently got engaged, first – congratulations! And second – don’t let poor planning get the best of you! A good wedding budget is critical to keeping those expenses in check. The Easy Wedding Budget is a super simple wedding budget spreadsheet to help you track your spending with ease. With up to 100 expenses you can track, it’s easy to see exactly where your money is going. This wedding budget template can be used in Excel or Google Sheets.
To use the Easy Wedding Budget, first set up your wedding categories and expenses. Use the common ones already in the spreadsheet, or feel free to make changes by typing over the items with the new names. There is room for up to 10 categories, and up to 10 expenses within each category.
Next to each expense line item, enter in a budget amount. The category budgets and the overall budget amount will update as you enter these in.
As you start making purchases, update the actual costs in Actual Amount column. If any of these expenses are payable in installments, you can track partial payments in the Paid column. Remaining amounts due will calculate for you. As you log your spending, compare your actual vs your budget amounts for each detailed expense and category. If you’ve overspent in one area, try to make up for it by underspending in another.
Finally, use the notes section on the right-hand side of the spreadsheet. Jot down anything that is helpful, such as vendor names, contact info, invoice numbers, etc.
